Itoigawa City Citizen Charter
Our city of Itoigawa is embraced by the vast Sea of Japan, the Northern Alps and the Kubiki (頸城) mountain range that rises to the east and west of the Hime River (Himekawa), and is a city overflowing with ‘green’blessed by a natural heritage with rich regional characteristics.
We have inherited a priceless history and culture built by our ancestors. To further progress towards a shining tomorrow, and for the purpose of forming a city in which to live and love, we have established the following City Charter.
We, the citizens of Itoigawa
-are thankful for nature’s blessings and will work to maintain a beautiful environment.
-will build warm households that overflow with smiling faces.
-will strive to study and work lively and in good health.
-will spread a circle of thoughtfulness and unity.
-will have a dream for tomorrow and build a bright future.
